Program Description

The Total Wash Co. ("we", "us", "TWC") operates an SMS program to communicate service-related information with customers who have requested a quote, booked a service, or otherwise engaged with us. Messages are informational and transactional in nature. Program operator: The Total Wash Co., Madison, WI.

Message Types You May Receive

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your service activity. Typical customers receive approximately 3–10 messages per month around active quotes, bookings, or completed jobs. You will not receive recurring marketing broadcasts.

Cost Disclosure

Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan. The Total Wash Co. does not charge for the messages themselves. Check with your mobile carrier for details on your plan.

How to Opt In

You opt in by checking the explicit SMS consent checkbox on our website quote form at https://www.thetotalwash.com/instant-quote. The checkbox is unchecked by default — you must actively check it to opt in. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any service from The Total Wash Co. Phone-only verbal opt-in is not supported; opt-in must be made through the form checkbox.

Opt-In Flow (step by step)

  1. Visitor opens our quote page: https://www.thetotalwash.com/instant-quote (publicly viewable, no login required).
  2. Visitor selects a service (e.g. "House Wash") and clicks "Get My Free Quote".
  3. Visitor completes the property details step (address, square footage).
  4. On the final "Book Your Service" step, the visitor enters Name, Email, and Phone, and only by affirmatively checking an unchecked-by-default checkbox does the visitor opt in to SMS.

Consent Checkbox (verbatim)

The exact label shown next to the unchecked-by-default checkbox on the form reads:

"By checking this box, I consent to receive service-related SMS messages from The Total Wash Co. at the number I provided (e.g. quote follow-ups, appointment confirmations, ETA updates, invoice reminders, review requests). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our SMS Policy and Privacy Policy."

Consent is optional. Submitting the quote form without checking the box captures the phone number for inbound voice callback only (so we can call you with your estimate). Numbers submitted without an affirmative checkbox are never enrolled in any SMS list and never receive SMS from The Total Wash Co. There is no double opt-in, no implicit opt-in, and no carry-over of consent across forms — a consent timestamp is recorded only when the box is affirmatively checked at submit time.

How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You will receive one confirmation message, and we will not send you further messages unless you re-opt-in. You may also reply with OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS program is compatible with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, US Cellular, MetroPCS, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy & No Third-Party Sharing

Your phone number and message history are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

SMS opt-in consent and your phone number will NOT be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared. The only exception is the messaging service provider (Twilio) that delivers our messages on our behalf — and that data is used solely to send you the service-related messages described above, never for their own marketing. SMS opt-in data and consent are never transferred, licensed, or sold to anyone.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our SMS program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
